RPR is a non-specific (non-treponemal) test for the diagnosis of syphilis. Can become positive already in the sixth week after infection.
Therapy control should be repeated every 6-12 months, until it becomes negative.
The test cannot be used for diagnosis without additional examinations.
In the case of syphilis, the test can be both negative and positive, depending on the disease stages and treatments.
